Booker Room<img decoding=\"async\" title=\"More...\" src=\"http:\/\/casgc.ucsd.edu\/blog\/wp-includes\/js\/tinymce\/plugins\/wordpress\/img\/trans.gif\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-5575\" title=\"phuongtruongpicture\" src=\"http:\/\/casgc.ucsd.edu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/phuongtruongpicture-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><!--more--><\/li>\n<p><strong>Topic<\/strong>: \u00a0Phuong will discuss her journey at UCSD and address the obstacles she had to overcome in order to mold her undergraduate experience. \u00a0She will share information about her research and work in areas from fresh water worms and near space ballooning to DNA studies and Arduinos. \u00a0Phuong will convey all that she has learned and give advice to other students to help them alleviate stress and explore their educational goals. This seminar is designed to help students realize that picking the &#8220;right&#8221; major does not have to define the overall college experience. \u00a0The audience will also receive handouts detailing many of the year round involvement opportunities that can enrich the path of any engineering student.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bio<\/strong>: Phuong Truong is a fourth year structural engineering student here at UCSD. \u00a0When she wasn&#8217;t accepted into the Bioengineering program, this dedicated student didn&#8217;t allow her dreams to be dashed.
