The \u201cOver the Dusty Moon Challenge\u201d will address a topic of increasing practical concern as humans move toward a sustainable presence on the Moon\u2019s surface. The challenge will task student teams to design, build and demonstrate a system that can convey lunar regolith (or soil) both horizontally and vertically. Regolith conveyance is a key technology to enable the use of lunar soil for resource processing, construction, and manufacturing on the Moon.<\/p>\n
The challenge is in its second year and while the inaugural competition was an overwhelming success, we\u2019d like to expand its geographical participation among our U.S. student team entries to match the diverse international team submissions.\u00a0 Please consider sharing this opportunity with your students to design & build a regolith transport solution for the moon for the\u00a02023 OVER THE DUSTY MOON CHALLENGE.<\/a>\u00a0<\/b>Entry deadline is Dec 23rd<\/sup>\u00a0for OTDM Phase I team submissions.<\/p>\n Lunar regolith is an important feedstock for construction, mineral processing, and other ISRU activities.
