CaSGC Staff Meet with NASA AA for Space Technology

On Wednesday, September 11th the California Space Grant Consortium Director, Dr. John Kosmatka, and Assistant Director, Tehseen Lazzouni, met with the NASA Space Technology Associate Administrator, Dr. Michael Gazarik, and his Chief of Staff, Michael Green. They discussed NASA Space Technology priorities and areas where the California Space Grant can work with the Space Technology Mission Directorate.

STEAM2 Academy

California Space Grant Consortium Headquarters Office Partners with Los Angeles City College for Arduino Project

LACC Arduino Project

Located in the heart of LA, Los Angeles City College has a diverse student population with more than 58 percent minorities. For the past few months, the California Space Grant Consortium headquarters office has been working with Physics and Engineering Department Chair Jayesh Bhakta on an exciting distance learning project to facilitate an Arduino-driven sensor vest to be used in conjunction with Amusement Park Physics activities.

2012-2013 Undergraduate Research Opportunity Project Selections

We are delighted to announce that the California Space Grant Consortium has selected the following students for the 2012-2013 Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program, which engages the future STEM* Workforce in science and aerospace related research projects.

Students were selected based on the following four criteria:

  • Academic Achievement (including GPA)
  • Proposed Research Project
  • Letter of Recommendation
  • Leadership Qualities
