The Women in Aerospace awards celebrate women’s professional excellence in aerospace, annually recognizing female leaders who have made outstanding contributions to the aerospace community. They recently selected six outstanding women for their contributions to the field and the California Space Grant is proud to count our own Lynn Cominsky as the recipient of the Aerospace Awareness Award.

As the campus director for the CaSGC at Sonoma State University (SSU), Lynn has always shown a high level of dedication to promoting aerospace education, and she has been active in advancing the opportunities for young women in the field.  An accomplished writer, Dr. Cominsky has composed more than 100 research papers and is the Principal Investigator on over $15 million dollars in grants to SSU. She was honored at an awards ceremony in Arlington, Virginia this week.
