Space Systems Engineering, a new massive open online course or MOOC from NASA and the Saylor Foundation, launches on Monday, March 3, 2014. The six-week general-audience course is available to the public at no cost and provides a unique opportunity to learn from and alongside NASA’s engineers.

Student teams may apply for funding for participation in national High Power Rocketry (HPR) competitions. Up to $10,000 has been allocated to support up to five student teams at $2,000 per team.

The primary goal of AggieMentors is to prepare socio-economically challenged high school students for university degree programs and opportunities in Environmental Sciences,
RockOn 2014 is a hands on workshop held at NASA Wallops Flight Facility. During the workshop, teams of three build a sounding rocket payload from a kit and launch it into space. Since 2008, more than 240 people have participated in this exciting opportunity.

California Space Grant Consortium (CaSGC) student David Salazar was very busy in 2013. As the recipient of a CaSGC Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program Scholarship, the recent college graduate took a leadership role in an exciting scientific experiment conducted in the Mojave Desert of California.
NASA has announced a call for graduate fellowship proposals for the NASA Earth and Space Science Fellowship (NESSF) Program-2014/2015 Academic Year (proposals due 2/3/14). Individuals from accredited U.S. Universities who are pursuing Masters or Doctoral degrees in Earth and Space Sciences or related disciplines are invited to apply.
