The MESA Community College Laboratory Research Experience
With the objectives of:
- Encouraging and preparing students in associate degree programs for STEM degrees and careers
- Increasing participation of underrepresented minorities and females in STEM.
The California Space Grant Consortium and The IDEA Student Center at the University of California, San Diego joined efforts this year to award research scholarships to ten deserving IDEA Scholars. Selected students were awarded $1,000 each and were asked to create a project related to Smart Solar Farms,
The California Space Grant is pleased to provide an opportunity for two California students studying Aero/Astro to intern for 10 days at Kennedy Space Center next January. During this time they will shadow NASA engineers to learn about their research,
In Summer and Fall of 2013 the California Space Grant and the San Diego MESA Alliance sponsored a research academy for 25 community college and university students attending minority serving institutions. (more…)
The NASA Space Technology Mission Directorate is seeking America’s Best and Brightest for Research Fellowships. Fellowships are aimed at graduate students pursuing advanced degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) disciplines. Awards of up to $68K per year will be provided.
