The California Space Grant Consortium is pleased to announce our Undergraduate Engineering Seminar Series, designed to introduce undergraduate students to funded research opportunities, internships and important information about careers in Engineering. Our next seminar in the series promises to provide students with valuable information as they pursue an education in Science and Engineering.

The Women in Aerospace awards celebrate women’s professional excellence in aerospace, annually recognizing female leaders who have made outstanding contributions to the aerospace community. They recently selected six outstanding women for their contributions to the field and the California Space Grant is proud to count our own Lynn Cominsky as the recipient of the Aerospace Awareness Award.

The following is a message from NASA Administrator Charles Bolden regarding the October 28th launch accident involving Orbital Sciences’ supply mission to the International Space Station.

The High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) camera on NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter captured views of comet C/2013 A1 Siding Spring while that visitor sped past Mars on Sunday (Oct. 19), yielding information about its nucleus.

The California Space Grant Consortium is pleased to announce our Undergraduate Engineering Seminar Series, designed to introduce undergraduate students to funded research opportunities, internships and important information about careers in Engineering. Our first seminar of the 2014-2015 school year promises to provide students with valuable information as they pursue an education in Science and Engineering.

The California Space Grant Consortium is pleased to announce support for two “Amazing Space” Family Science Night activities at local middle schools. This event is designed to engage and inspire students and their families in space and science and is conducted by the Reuben H.

NASA’s Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD) seeks to sponsor U.S. citizen and permanent resident graduate student researchers to contribute to the goal of creating innovative new space technologies for our Nation’s science, exploration, and economic future.

Fellowships will be awarded as training grants and will be up to $74,000 per year including student stipend and allowances for faculty advisor,

U.S. astronauts once again will travel to and from the International Space Station from the United States on American spacecraft under groundbreaking contracts NASA announced Tuesday. The agency unveiled its selection of Boeing and SpaceX to transport U.S.

With adventure in their hearts and rocket launchers in hand, the recipients of the CaSGC Student Led Rocket Project awards were able to see all of their hard work pay off with several successful launches this year. Teams of students from six colleges and universities received awards for designing a rocket to be entered into a High Power Rocketry national competition in 2014.

The California Space Grant Consortium (CaSGC) and its affiliates and partners completed three programs involving Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) community college students in university research, preparing them for careers and advanced degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and increasing diversity and inclusiveness in CaSGC programs.
